"gamblers express disgust at casino closures." (a.k.a. No Jersey, Day 6)
because of a budget impasse involving whether or not to raise the sales tax to 7%, New Jersey state shuts down government service and directly affected are the casinos (particularly along the famous Atlantic City strip) since they need state supervision and the state workers can't perform their supervising functions because the state doesn't have the money to pay their salaries.
what is this? did NJ just become another Puerto Rico?
and the gamblers? you're gonna lose your money anyway, just give it to me or to charity. and by 'charity', i don't mean your regular hooker on 43rd St. and 9th Ave.
