Spice!

England wins by the skin of their teeth - or by a lock of hair of pretty boy Becks.

with Owen still out, and Rooney flashing his old form as the match progressed, it fell upon the Brit captain and Spice BoyToy to get on the scoreboard on a free kick. the cameras also captured Posh Spice and her bouncing fake puppies, reveling in her husband's eventual-game--winning goal. for at least 4 more years, the Beckham name brand will still be rolling dough in.

No thanks to Delphi for the use of his Slingbox. This was on a regular cable channel. didn't bother with the Portuguese and the Dutch (which begs the question of whether one-time Becks fling Rebecca Loos was in this game or the previous one - nyahahahaha!)

At least you have it on regular cable. We have to watch it here on pay-per-view or in a bar with ridiculously priced beer. Sometimes the regular cable channel hands us out some crumbs like the USA-Ghana game which they showed live.

Again I have to lament the fact that no corporation seems to be on the ball here as far as soccer is concerned. This seems to be a sport made for us, but they still insist on basketball.

Ah, but on regular cable, i meant that as "public free cable", they only have it on weekends (at least one game). i only got lucky they were showing this match last Sunday. for all the rest of the games during the week, its on ESPN/ESPN2, which i filch (with permission) from our friend Delphi.

Its called attention-span deficit disorder; the faster-paced the game, with scoring done every minute, the better. David Stern wins!!!
