

sorting thru the mountains of accumulated stuff through the years (for appropriate disposal), i came across interesting stuff like the above, a collected bunch of used phonecards. this was during those times when i didn't have a proper cellphone (activated for international calling). i remember sometimes running out of the house at odd hours just to get one from the neighborhood convenience store.
total value: $580.00
on one hand, you can say (or even i can) that i could have saved the money for something else.
but on the other hand, i can only speculate on the amount of warmth and emotional goodwill a phone call can bring, through the miles. if the people i called will consider that priceless, then ... thank you.
