more reason to love and take care of your ipod. that piece of equipment was made by people who earn a lot less than you and live and work in questionable conditions. i don't sneer at anything "made in China" like some other ignoramuses - they're uninformed so i pity them - i only sneer when some product has been proven to be of inferior quality. in the meantime, here's hoping Steve Jobs can apply some arm-twisting on the Chinese government to alleviate the working conditions of the people who were partly responsible for Apple topping industry estimates for its sales year after year since they rolled out the iconic gadget.
