The World is a Mall.

Bright lights and subdued hues. Elegant marionettes and loud colors. Babies in strollers. Dads in caps and jeans. Moms in jackets and sneakers. Lovers entwined pass me by. Rummaging through piles of clothes. Alternately smiling and blanching at price tags. Cashiers and shoppers looking at the time, for different reasons. A seller making a pitch. A toddler running after his sister. Bags upon shopping bags. Resting tired feet. Leaning on your love over hotdogs and hush puppies. Laughing. Crying. Screaming. Chatting. A babel of tongues. Black, white, red, yellow, green, short, tin, fat, bald, pierced, thin, weird, hungry, lost, found.

The world is a mall.
